I Believe

  • A stronger connection with those we love and a better understanding of ourselves benefits everyone in our lives.

  • Understanding how our past influences our present makes for better social, professional, and personal relationships.

  • Conflicts can foster growth: learning a positive way to handle differences is essential.

  • Emotions can be a source of healing.

My Background

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Arizona. I earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a Masters of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University. I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. and the Gottman Method of couples therapy, developed by the marriage expert and researcher Dr. John Gottman. My work has been with couples, teens, children, families, and individuals of diverse backgrounds, religions, and cultures.

Insurance

I don't accept insurance and that can be a benefit to you. My clients invest precious time and energy in the therapy process. I want to respect our therapeutic relationship by providing the best possible experience. By remaining private pay, my clients have a lack of restrictions on the time and frequency of our sessions and enhanced confidentiality. Insurance fee structures create the need for therapists to see more clients in a day in order to maintain a viable practice. Being a private pay therapist, I can structure my schedule so my clients have my full attention and an experience that repsects their efforts.

Shoulder to shoulder, toward a better life.
